Paul Parzik

Paul Parzik

  • What inspired you to become part of the YMCA community? Our mission is transformative to lives of youth and families, and no one is turned away!  I started my Y work as a camp bus driver, then lifeguard, youth sports coach, etc…
  • What are some of your most significant accomplishments at the YMCA? The accomplishment I remain most proud of is the cultivation of four young part time staff, fostering their interest in the YMCA as a vocation to the extent that each became YMCA Directors years later as adults. This seems to me to capture the notion of both paying it forward (by investing in young leaders) to paying it back (via those developed to become YMCA professional leaders).
  • What are your hobbies/interests outside of work? In-line skating, reading, writing, and spending time with my adult children.

Give to the Y

When you give to the Y, you support programs and services that help kids succeed, prevent drowning, prepare teens for life and help people grow healthier in spirit, mind, and body. The Y is needed now more than ever to meet the evolving needs of our community.
