Welcome to Hampton Family YMCA

Our YMCA began in 1980 with the commitment of Hampton residents and city leaders. The Hampton Family YMCA provides a safe, family-oriented environment, and a gathering place for thousands of kids, families, seniors, and individuals. With the ever-changing need of the community, our YMCA continues to improve the lives of all residents in Hampton and surrounding areas.

  • What inspired you to become part of the YMCA community? I grew up going to the YMCA, which has always been a part of my life. I have a passion for people and helping them reach their goals. I love that every day looks different at the Y, and each person that comes into the Y has their own story, and I get to be that person to learn that story.
  • What are some of your most significant accomplishments at the YMCA? Since joining this association in 2020, I’ve led multiple annual impact events, including the Jacob Dore Memorial Bus Pull. I also started the first-ever Senior Spring Fling, where our senior community comes together to celebrate our work within our Y Community.
  • What are your hobbies/interests outside of work? Outside of work, I like to stay busy. I enjoy spending time with my friends. I love to go sailing with my family, have a good game night, and go to any sporting event. I am a big Baltimore Orioles and Dallas Cowboys fan.

Give to The Y

When you give to the Y, you support programs and services that help kids succeed, prevent drowning, prepare teens for life and help people grow healthier in spirit, mind, and body. The Y is needed now more than ever to meet the evolving needs of our community.
