In the United States, someone dies from drowning every 10 minutes. One out of every five drowning victims is a child, and for every child who drowns, another five children get treated for injuries related to being submerged in water.

Know. See. Respond. How Are You Taking Action?

Save the dates. April 15-19, the YMCA will participate in the Five Days of Action campaign to increase awareness of child sexual abuse and how all adults can prevent it when we “Know. See. Respond.” We pledge to protect the children we serve, and we hope you will too.

At the Y, We Prevent Drowning

Michael participated in our Second Grade Learn to Swim program and now can jump into the deep end and swim to the other side of the pool with confidence and knowledge. Thank you to the donors who make this program possible to prevent drowning.

At the Y, We Help People Grow Healthier in Spirit, Mind, and Body

Atoya started her wellness journey at the Y to lose weight, but realized she was struggling mentally as well as physically. The Y encouraged her to be herself and lose the weight. She's now a group exercise instructor at the Y to help others live a healthy lifestyle.
